Together, We Can Do More

Telling the stories of those who respond to the needs around us

The Good Lamaritan Initiative

Laramie Connections Center Launched The Good Lamaritan initiative to unmask the great spirit of volunteerism that exists in Laramie. Based on the premise of the old tale of the Good Samaritan, we hope to tell the stories of those who respond to the needs around us. Volunteers in our community are the backbone of service to others and we believe they are to be honored and recognized for their selfless efforts.

Each month we will highlight the story of three volunteers and the organizations they serve. Please help us spread the ongoing story of giving of ourselves to make Laramie a great place to live.

 What Makes a Good Lamaritan?

One who sees the need around them and, without hesitation, strives to alleviate that need.

~

One who offers whatever they have to make life better for another.

~

One who hears a cry for help; and then responds with help.

~

One who comes alongside others doing the good work.
