As a retiree and newly relocated to Laramie, it is important to me to make a contribution to my home community. My husband and I relocated from Houston and so Laramie is a very different living environment.  Volunteering is helping me to feel a part of the community as we learn more about living here.  I would encourage others who wish to volunteer to find an organization and an activity that inspires them. 

I feel compelled to volunteer at Feeding Laramie Valley because it is a local non-profit organization working to provide healthy food to individuals and families in Albany County whose access to healthy food is challenged.  My role is to water the produce being grown at the LaBonte Park location by the FLV Shares Production Team.  I hope that the people who eat the produce really enjoy it!
