Dave Carlson
I volunteer because I need to be active. I retired from the military, and recently from the USPS. While serving the community I feel good about my life and I get to stay active. Meeting new friends and making a difference in other's lives. I started volunteering with the Eppson Center when I read one of the monthly newsletters and they were looking for people to deliver meals. As time went on I became involved with the many activities at the center and offered my help to the staff for anything that was needed.
Working and socializing with other seniors keeps me wanting to do more. The Eppson Center has been a great experience for me as I have something to keep me involved with life itself. I have helped several people coming in with their needs of loaner equipment from the center making sure they get the right help to best fit their needs. I like to be a funny person, to make people laugh and I feel good that they have a good experience here. Being childlike brings out the child in others so we all enjoy our lives in our later years.

Dave is always willing to help out with anything we need from him. He has been instrumental in helping us organize our loan closet. He drives for our HDM (Home Delivered Meals) department, and he has recently started delivering newsletters each month. He also recently joined the Dollar of the Month club and will be a big help there as well. We appreciate Dave and all he has done and continues to do for us.
